Mushroom Forest Gourd

The Mushroom Forest was my second attempt at art beyond drawing pictures on notebook pper.  It was my second work using a woodburning pen, and at that point, not yet satisfied that I wanted to woodburn as a medium, I was using a Walmart cheapie and a home made temperature control.  I never completed the backside because the gourd I selected for this had way too many impurities, and I didn't think it would turn out as nice as it did.  Basically, being a beginner, I didn't have enough faith in my abilities, so I used a scrap gourd so I wouldn't be wasting a good gourd.  I don't do scrap gourds anymore, :-)
